Legal § Privacy
Effective date: July 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Biomass Controls PBC ("Biomass Controls," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit biomasscontrols.com (the "Site") or contact us through it.
This policy covers the public Site. It does not cover the KELV°N® platform or the operating data from deployed systems, which are governed by the separate agreements that apply to those services.
Information you give us. When you submit an inquiry, we collect what you choose to provide. That can include your name, organization, role, email address, phone number, and region, along with any project details you share — feedstock type and characteristics, contaminants, volumes, end use, permitting context, timeline, and similar business information. You decide how much to send; only a few fields are required.
Information collected automatically. As with most websites, our hosting and content-delivery providers automatically log basic technical information when you visit — IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps — for security and troubleshooting.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics collects information such as your device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, the pages you view, and how you interact with them, and it sets the first-party cookies described below. This information is processed by Google on our behalf and may be transferred to and stored on Google's servers in the United States. We use it only in aggregate, to measure and improve the Site. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Cookies. The Site uses first-party cookies set by Google Analytics (such as _ga and _ga_*) to measure and report Site usage. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on, and — if you are in the EU, UK, or EEA — decline non-essential cookies through the consent prompt on the Site.
We use the information to:
We do not sell your personal information, we do not use inquiry submissions for marketing, and we do not use your information to train artificial-intelligence or large-language-model systems.
We share information only as needed to operate the Site:
We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
Biomass Controls is based in the United States, and the information you provide is processed and stored in the United States. If you contact us from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and handled in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those where you live.
We keep inquiry submissions for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we need to keep them longer to meet a legal or business requirement, after which we delete or anonymize them. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in our Google Analytics account.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including transport encryption (HTTPS) and access controls on the inbox that receives submissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have provided, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing info@biomasscontrols.com. You can also opt out of Google Analytics through your browser settings, Google's opt-out add-on, or — in the EU, UK, or EEA — by declining non-essential cookies on the Site.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your personal information, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the rights to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. If you are a Connecticut resident — our home state — or live in another U.S. state with a consumer-privacy law, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have provided and to obtain a copy of it. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We respond to verifiable requests as required by applicable law.
The Site is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
The Site may link to third-party sites and resources. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information to them.
We may update this policy from time to time. The Effective date above shows when it last changed, and material changes will be posted on this page.
